At Gholghul, we stand behind the quality of our houseplants. We carefully inspect each plant before it leaves our facility to ensure you receive a healthy specimen. However, we understand that issues can occasionally arise, and we're committed to making things right.

Quality Guarantee

All houseplants from gholghul come with a quality guarantee. If your plant arrives damaged, unhealthy, or not as described, we will work with you to resolve the issue.

Coverage Period

Eligibility for Returns

We accept returns or offer replacements in the following circumstances:

Damaged During Delivery

If your plant arrives with broken stems, crushed leaves, or damaged roots due to shipping, contact us immediately with photos. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost.

Unhealthy Upon Arrival

Plants showing signs of disease, pest infestation, or severe stress present upon delivery are eligible for return. We require photos documenting the condition within 48 hours of receipt.

Incorrect Plant

If you receive a different plant variety than ordered, we will arrange return shipping and send the correct plant or issue a full refund.

To initiate a return or replacement, follow these steps:

Step 1: Contact Us

Email us at info@gholghul.world or call +61 2 7219 3749 within the specified timeframe. Include your order number and detailed description of the issue.

Step 2: Provide Documentation

Send clear photos showing the plant condition, packaging, and any visible damage or issues. Include photos of the entire plant and close-ups of problem areas.

Step 3: Receive Authorization

Our team will review your case and provide a return authorization number if applicable. Do not return plants without prior authorization.

Step 4: Resolution

We will arrange for plant pickup or provide return shipping instructions. Once received, we will process your replacement or refund within 5 business days.

Replacement Options

When a return is approved, you may choose from the following options:

Refund Process

Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days of receiving the returned plant or photographic verification. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for purchase.

Please note that delivery charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective plant.

Plant Care Support

Before requesting a return, please contact us for care advice. Many common issues can be resolved with proper care adjustments. Our team is here to help your plants thrive:

Acclimation Period

Plants often experience minor stress when transitioning to new environments. The following are normal during the first 2-3 weeks and do not qualify for returns:

These adjustments are natural as your plant adapts to its new home. Continue following care instructions and contact us if concerns persist beyond three weeks.

Showroom Purchases

Plants purchased in person at our Potts Point showroom are inspected before leaving the premises. These purchases are considered final sale unless the plant develops issues due to pre-existing conditions not visible at time of purchase. Contact us within 7 days with concerns.

Seasonal Considerations

We temporarily suspend deliveries during extreme weather conditions to protect plant health. If weather delays occur, we will contact you to arrange alternative delivery dates. These delays do not qualify for returns or refunds.

Consumer Rights

This return policy does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
